This video we are reviewing the Synco Mic-D1 microphone and see what you get and also what kind of microphone this is. The Synco Mic-D1 is a Hyper Cardioid which is a great pick up patterns that is directional, however it is still quite a wide pick up. This microphone can be well used for indoor or studio, however because of the wide patterns it is easy to pick up sound from around your subject when using outdoors and not get a clean enough sound as result. But in controlled locations using the microphone for podcast, voice overs and indoor interviews it is a great sounding microphone for that.
All audio is recorded with the Synco Mic-D1 powered with AA battery and connected to my Panasonic GH5, GH5 volume setting is set to the lowest on the camera.
